Button replacement for $10,000: Ferrari owner talks about the cost of repairing a supercar (photo)

On average, the Ferrari maintenance cost is $1,500. But sometimes the cost of repairing a supercar can reach 10-15 thousand dollars.

Supercars are not only expensive on their own, they are also expensive to maintain. Even minimal repairs can ruin it. US Ferrari owner Jerry Mos spoke about it on Facebook.

Jerry Mos decided to buy a Ferrari 10 years ago. He kept the car in a garage and drove only 8000 km, but the maintenance and repair of the supercar cost him a penny.

On average, a visit to a Ferrari service station cost US$1,500. Although sometimes repairing a supercar is more expensive. As proof, the American showed a photograph of one of his service receipts.

For example, the ceramic wheel bearings cost $15,000 to replace and the dropped turn signal was repaired for $4,000. Jerry Mos paid $7,542 for interior upgrades, but what surprised him most was the $10,000 check for buttons stuck in the cabin.

Eventually, the American got tired of paying and decided to sell his Ferrari supercar. Instead he bought a new Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray. An American car costs several times cheaper, and it turned out to be much cheaper to maintain.

By the way, Ferraris aren’t the most expensive cars to repair. According to a Ukrainian car owner, maintaining a Bugatti supercar can cost up to $100,000 to visit a service station.
