The Mazda 3’s safety systems are also better. The vehicle is now equipped with a carelessness warning function. It detects when the driver’s attention is diverted from the road.

From the CX-60 crossover, the Mazda 3 received remote engine start support via the MyMazda app. The function is only available on vehicles with automatic transmission. The standard equipment list includes the Mazda My Car Care function, which notifies the owner of an attempted car theft.

The 2024 Mazda 3 will go on sale in Japan in early June. The cost of the model will range from 2,288,000 to 3,866,500 yen ($17,500 to $30,000).
