In total, there is only one surviving copy of the ZAZ-1102 ERF-Mobile. The race car has received numerous improvements.

In Estonia, they found a unique rear-engined rally car ZAZ-1102 ERF-Mobile. This is reported on the Hyser website.

The rally car was created in the 80s on the initiative of Kyle Keel, head of the sports club of the Estreklamfilm studio. He decided to convert a budget hatchback into a Group B race car in the car class with engines up to 2,000 cc.

They immediately got rid of the standard engine and replaced it with an engine from the VAZ-2106. Volume has been increased to 1.8 liters, and the cylinder head, crankshaft, fuel intake system and exhaust system have also been upgraded. Its power was 140 hp.

The back of the car was thrown. It was built from the ground up to place the engine behind the driver.

ZAZ-1102 ERF-Mobile is built on a tubular frame. The width of the car has increased significantly due to the new fender arches.

An additional engine cooling system and an exhaust system were placed at the front. The weight of the car is 800 kg.

The car received a new racing suspension. Front and rear mounted double wishbones with long-stroke shock absorbers.

Andres Pastline was supposed to use the ZAZ-1102 ERF-Mobile. He noted that it was difficult to keep the car on asphalt road, but incredibly fast on gravel.

Estreklamfilm created two copies of the ZAZ-1102 ERF-Mobile in total. During the tests, the second car broke down. The third car never saw the light of day due to the cancellation of Group B in 1987.

The unique ZAZ-1102 ERF-Mobile stood in the company’s parking lot for years until it was handed over to the Estonian Transport Museum. Later, Tallinn University of Applied Sciences restored the car.

Previously Focus He wrote on the Internet that they showed a rare ZAZ “Tavria” with a built-in platform and folding sides, sold in Italy.
