Chery’s new Jaecoo 7 is intended for export and will be sold outside of China. A hybrid version of the crossover, which will be offered with a 197 hp turbo engine, will also appear later.
The design of the new crossover Jaecoo 7 has been declassified. A cheap model from the new part of the Chery concern will go on sale from the end of summer. The video with the crossover was published on the Chery Youtube channel.
The new Jaecoo brand is export-oriented – the cars will not be sold in China, but will appear in Eastern Europe, Asia and Latin America. So Jaecoo 7 has a chance to appear on the Ukrainian market.
Jaecoo models are based on Chery models. Specifically, the Jaecoo 7 is based on the latest Chery TJ-1.
The Chinese crossover has a brutal, angular design with a high hood and elongated fenders. A large grille is combined with thin headlights with pixel diode optics. The door handles are retractable and the lights are stretched across the entire width of the body.
You can also see the inside of the Jaecoo 7 in the video. The crossover has a virtual instrument cluster and a large multimedia touchscreen.
Initially, the Chinese crossover will be equipped with a 1.6-liter 197-horsepower turbo engine and a 7-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. There will be a hybrid version later. Drive Jaecoo 7 can be front or full.
Previously Focus He reported that Chery offers a high-speed 326-horsepower crossover for $21,500 with a consumption of just 1.7 liters per 100 km.
