Gildred Racing has turned the rare Mini Cooper into a Tesla-powered electric car. The miniature hatchback has become much more powerful and faster. This was reported on The Drive website.
The original Mini was produced from 1959 to 2001. It was later replaced by BMW’s Cooper hatchback.
This miniature car is considered an icon of the 1960s. It was chosen not only because of its low cost, but also because of its careless handling and stylish design.
The Super Cooper EV combines the best of old and new. Outside, the car remains recognizable, but inside it has become completely different.
Based on the original hatchback that has been carefully restored. Later, its low-power engine is replaced by a 300 hp electric motor. and 250 Nm of torque.
The electric motor is powered by a battery with a capacity of 31 kWh. The range of the electric car is 241 km on a single charge.
