Compared to last year, the demand for electric vehicles in Ukraine increased by 2.6 times. Among the new models, Volkswagen is the most popular, while Nissan and Tesla are among the second-hand models.
Electric vehicle sales in Ukraine continue to increase. In August, 3841 electric cars were purchased in our country. Such statistics are provided by the association “Ukravtoprom”.
Compared to July, sales increased by 11% and by 2.6 times compared to August last year. The vast majority of electric cars are passenger cars: 3,764 were purchased, of which 684 were new and 3,080 used. Of the 77 commercial models, 74 were second-hand.
Volkswagen models lead the way among new electric vehicles, while the most popular one is the VW ID.4 electric crossover.
The most popular new electric vehicles in Ukraine:
- Volkswagen ID.4 – 275 units;
- Volkswagen ID.6 – 58 units;
- Audi Q8 e-tron – 40 units;
- Toyota bZ4X – 39 units;
- Honda e – 34 units.
Nissan Leaf continues to lead the used electric vehicle segment. Tesla models are also in demand.
The most popular used electric cars in Ukraine:
- Nissan Leaf – 505 units;
- Volkswagen e-Golf – 422 units;
- Tesla Model 3 – 361 units;
- Tesla Model Y – 218 parts;
- Renault Zoe – 183 units.
In total, since the beginning of the year, Ukrainians have registered 19.9 thousand electric vehicles; this is 2.7 times more than the same period in 2022.
