Creepy discovery: A rare snake was found under the hood of a Ford at a service station (video)

A rare albino boa constrictor climbed under the hood of a Ford Focus to stay warm. A professional snake catcher had to be called to remove the reptile.

An interesting event took place in the American state of North Carolina recently. A huge albino boa constrictor was found under the hood of a Ford Focus at a service station. A video of the incident was posted on The New York Times’ YouTube channel.

2015 Ford Focus was brought in for scheduled maintenance (oil and filter changes). The mechanic lifted the hood and froze – a huge 2.4-meter snake with light skin was wrapped around the 2.0-liter engine.

Service station workers were afraid to let the reptile out, so they sought help from professional snake catcher Russell Cavender. He arrived promptly when called and removed the snake, but this required removing some engine parts.

The snake catcher explained to the mechanics that the albino boa constrictor, although it could bite painfully, was not poisonous. The rare reptile is not native to North Carolina and was likely someone’s pet.

The owner of the Ford Focus said that the snake did not belong to him. It looks like the boa constrictor escaped and climbed under the hood of the Ford Focus to enjoy the hot engine. They are now looking for the owner of the reptile.
