Ukrainians mostly import gasoline cars from other countries. However, the share of hybrid cars and electric vehicles is gradually increasing.
New and second-hand car sales in Ukraine increased in September. The demand for imported second-hand cars also remains stable. The Ukravtoprom association talked about this.
Last month, Ukrainians imported more than 21 thousand used cars from other countries. Compared to last year, the number of such cars increased by 34%.
Gasoline models are mostly imported from abroad (44%). Second-hand diesel cars are also in demand.
What type of fuel are the cars most commonly imported into Ukraine:
- Gasoline – 44%.
- Diesel – 31%.
- Electric cars – 16%.
- Cars with HBO – 5%.
- Hybrids – 4%.
The share of gasoline and diesel cars decreased by 1% on a monthly basis. At the same time, the number of electric and hybrid cars increased by 1%.
The most popular model among imported cars in September was Volkswagen Golf. Renault Megane and Skoda Octavia also took part in the top three.

- Volkswagen Golf – 1575 cars.
- Renault Megane – 1299 cars.
- Skoda Octavia – 923 cars.
- Volkswagen Passat – 755 cars.
- Nissan Leaf – 590 cars.
- Audi A4 – 414 cars.
- Volkswagen Touran – 406 cars.
- Tesla Model 3 – 405 cars.
- Volkswagen Tiguan – 401 cars.
- Nissan Qashqai – 398 cars.
