Old Pobeda has been restored to perfect condition. The mass-produced GAZ model is rare in Western Europe.
In the UK, a 1956 GAZ M-20 Pobeda was sold at the Car and Classic auction. The price of the old Soviet car was 35,000 pounds ($43,000), the same as the new Volkswagen Passat B9. Details were announced on the auction house’s official website.
“Pobeda” was very popular (241,497 cars were produced from 1946 to 1958), but only a few of these cars reached the West, so in the UK the GAZ M-20 is rare. This particular car came from Latvia, where it underwent a complete restoration.

GAZ M-20 “Pobeda” has been restored to its original condition and looks like new. The car has been repainted and the interior has a completely new finish. The only modern detail is an audio system with a USB connector and Bluetooth. We also made a vintage style leather luggage set for the car.
