The number of people who are at risk of being fired is on the rise. To date, as Russian President Vladimir Putin said, their number has almost reached the mark of 234,000 people. And all of them are either idle, or they were sent on forced leave, or they work part-time.
“The number of people at risk of being fired is growing. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that now there are almost 234,000 employees on the so-called downtime, forced vacations or part-time employment, which is almost twice as many as at the beginning of the year”– Putin said at a meeting on economic issues.
He stressed that on a national scale the figure remains small, however, if we take into account industry areas, specific enterprises and settlements, then the problems become much more serious.
“In this regard, the government needs to pay due attention to such local problems and find effective solutions”– said Vladimir Putin.
At the same time, unemployment rates in Russia, as the President noted within the framework of the WEF, are at a historical minimum.
