Common prices: what will change for Ukrainians in December

Immediately after the start of Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine, the government placed a moratorium on the increase in the cost of public services. Therefore, the authorities wanted to help citizens who find themselves in a difficult financial situation: due to the war, many Ukrainians lost a stable income due to layoffs. But as it turned out in December 2022, the prices of some utilities for Ukrainians may still rise. Focus I figured out which ones and how much.

light tariff

No surprises are expected here. On October 28, the Ministry of Energy announced the extension of special obligations in the electricity market until 2019. March 31, 2023. So, in the last month of 2022, the tariff for Ukrainians will be the same as before:

• families (households) consuming less than 250 kilowatt hours per month pay UAH 1.44 per kilowatt hour;
• Those who consume more than 250 kilowatt-hours – 1.68 hryvnia.
• The tariff for hostels, legal entities hosting immigrants, summer cooperatives, garages and religious establishments was set at 1.68 hryvnia per kilowatt hour.

water tariffs

According to Law No. 7427, the prices for heating with hot and cold water for Ukrainians will not increase in December. But water supply and drainage tariffs vary by region:

• Dneprovodokanal: 31.36 UAH per cubic meter of water (water supply – 21.01 / drainage – 17.30);
• Vodokanal in Uzhhorod: UAH 42.86 (22.10/13.62);
• Poltavavodokanal: UAH 33.77 (13.74/14.40);
• Nikolayevvodokanal: UAH 34.04 (14.61/13.76);
• Zhitomirvodokanal: UAH 37.54 (15.22/16.06);
• Infoksvodokanal (Odessa): UAH 35.16 (14.93/14.37);
• Kherson Vodokanal: UAH 30.67 (13.15/12.43);
• Rivnooblvodokanal: UAH 32.59 (13.90/13.26).

gas prices

The tariff for Naftogaz, the largest gas supplier serving more than 12 million customers, is UAH 7.99 per cubic meter of gas. The tariffs of other gas suppliers are slightly different. For example, in November these are:

• LLC “ERU PERSONS” — 7.70 UAH
• LLC “ENERGY TRADING GROUP” — 7,799 UAH
• LLC “GC” NAFTOGAZ UKRAINE “- 7,96 UAH
• LLC “POLTAVAGAZ SBYT” — 7,99 UAH
• LLC “Kyiv ENERGY SERVICES” (YASNO) – 8.46 UAH;
• LLC “LVEVENERGOSBYT” – UAH 8.20;
• DNEPRO ENERGY SERVICES LLC (YASNO) – UAH 8.46;
• TM “SVETGAZ” (LLC “RETAIL SERVICE”) – 9.99 UAH.
• “Prykarpatt Energo Trading” — 7,98 UAH.

We also recall that gas prices may be revised in April next year, according to Daniil Getmantsev, head of the tax committee. According to the official, the tariff of 7.99 UAH is “unreasonably low”.

garbage removal

From December 1, 2022, the price of such utility services will increase for residents of Odessa. Garbage is taken out of the city by four companies, and two of them have calculated a new tariff.

Thus, the firm “Eco-Renaissance” will raise prices 33 UAH per month, immediately up to 61.26 UAH. The carrier is also planning a price hike. Clean City.
