The head of Gazprom, Alexei Miller, announced that he had reached a fundamentally new level of gas supplies to China. From December 31, 2022, the corporation began to send to China the daily volume of gas provided for by the contract for 2023, and this was done at the request of the Chinese partners.

After the increase from January 1, 2023, Gazprom reached a new level of supplies to China, which, according to Miller, testifies not only to the responsibility and reliability of the corporation, but also to China’s interest in receiving Russian gas.

“The development of our Chinese vector is also associated with two promising routes: from the Far East and through Mongolia. A contract has been signed on the first one, the second route is being worked out,” Miller added.

Earlier, the Russian government approved the gas price ceiling of the German company Wintershall Dea. The maximum price for blue fuel produced in the Urengoy field, “Gazprom” will be able to pay only 2550 rubles per thousand cubic meters.
