PJSC Rosseti and Tatarstan agreed to expand cooperation in order to ensure the technological sovereignty of the Russian energy industry. This was reported by the press service of the company.
The agreement was reached following a working meeting in Kazan between the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the general director of Rosseti PJSC Andrey Ryumin. There, in particular, the role of Tatarstan enterprises that supply equipment for the maintenance and construction of power grid facilities, special equipment, cable products and metal structures was noted.
“Today, in the context of sanctions restrictions, the priority issue in the energy sector has become the import substitution of power grid equipment and technologies. Tatarstan has competencies in the production of electrical products and equipment for generation. Now it is important for us to establish mutual cooperation to replace imports with our own production”Minnikhanov emphasized.
Ryumin, in turn, said that ensuring the technological sovereignty of the industry is an urgent task. “A large number of enterprises producing high-tech products for the needs of the energy sector operate in the Republic. The leadership of the region pays special attention to the development of the industrial sector, which stimulates the growth of production”– added the head of Rosseti.
The parties also discussed the elaboration of joint proposals for the improvement of regulatory legal acts in the field of electric power industry, including those aimed at increasing the reliability and availability of electricity supply services.
At the end of the meeting, an agreement was signed on cooperation between PJSC Rosseti and JSC Grid Company operating in Tatarstan. According to Minnikhanov, interaction has already been established between these organizations in terms of the exchange of technological information, the acquisition of equipment and emergency supplies, and the improvement of mechanisms for preventing and eliminating the consequences of emergency situations.
