The recalculation in April 2023 will occur only if at least two years have passed since the issuance of a pension or preliminary recalculation.
As part of the recalculation of April pensions, payments to working retirees may increase significantly or remain almost at the same level. Irina Kovpashko, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Pension Fund, announced this on the radio of Ukraine.
According to him, the recalculation of pensions in April will affect only two categories of pensioners, namely:
- those who continue to work after the appointment of the preliminary recalculation and have gained 24 months or more of insurance experience;
- those who continue to work and have a maximum of 24 months (for example, 15, 20) insurance experience.
At the same time, recalculation is allowed only if at least two years have passed since the appointment of a pension or preliminary recalculation.
How much will pensions increase?
“The conditions for recalculation in April 2023 are individual for each pensioner. So, if a person has a low salary but a lot of insurance experience, then the supplement will be only for overtime experience. If the pensioner’s salary is high, the level will increase, the basic pension will also increase”, he explains Irina Kovpashko.
As a result of such recalculations, there were increases after 2 years and 400, 500 and 600 hryvnia.
“I mean, it’s purely individual,” he said.
Indexation and average pension in 2023
On March 28, 2023, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that the March pensions index affected 10.5 million retirees. Average increase approx. 600 hryvnia.
Thus, according to the PFU, for the first time in Ukraine, the average amount of pension payments amounted to more than 5 thousand UAH. Well – 5 219 UAH
By the way, it was learned the other day that some Ukrainians will leave their pension payments without recalculation in April 2023. This applies to retirees who continue to work even after going on vacation.
The Pension Fund announced that the recalculation and therefore the increase in payments will take place in May.
“This is because the right to automatic recalculation determines the length of service acquired up to and including February of the current year 2023, and the insured submits reports for the 1st quarter of 2023 to the State Registry of Compulsory State Social Insurances before May 10,” he says. in the message.
To remember Focus It has already been reported that a charitable donation program has been launched in Ukraine, in which any legal person or individual can increase payments to pensioners with the help of a citizen living in Ukraine or abroad.
