Four front zones will receive an additional 3 billion – Shmyhal

In March, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the first phase of the distribution of additional subsidies in excess of UAH 10.2 billion from the state budget to local budgets.

The government allocates an additional UAH 3.1 billion to the four regions of Ukraine to strengthen opportunities. On May 5, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the Council of Ministers allocates an additional subsidy of UAH 3.1 billion to local budgets, regions and communities that will strengthen their capabilities.

Funds will be received by 516 regional communities and four regions: Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. He recalled that this is the second additional subsidy to the regions most damaged by Russian aggression.

In March, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the first phase of the distribution of additional subsidies in excess of UAH 10.2 billion from the state budget to local budgets. The funds were used to exercise their powers, finance salaries and pay for utilities.

Recall, on March 22, the media reported that the World Bank calculated how much it would cost to restore Ukraine after the war. In terms of infrastructure restructuring financing, the most important changes took place in the front areas.

But in November, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that more than a trillion dollars would be needed for Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction. He noted that some Western countries have already expressed their willingness to finance the reconstruction of Ukraine.
