According to the document submitted to the unions, they will check the verification of data on pensioners, personal information and the legality of providing him with pension payments.
In Ukraine, some categories of citizens are at risk of not receiving a pension after checking the recipients of social payments by specialists of the Ministry of Finance and the Pension Fund of Ukraine. The related draft decree was published on the website of the Trade Union Federation (FPU) for discussion.
Pensions in Ukraine – who can be deprived of a pension after verification?
The draft resolution “On Approval of the Methodology for Verification of Pensions and Monthly Lifetime Salaries” states that they will first check the verification of data, that is, whether they comply with the requirements for exchanging information about the personal information of individuals. Pensioners will then check the personal information about the recipients of their pension payments.
Payments may be canceled in the following cases:
- if there is a mistake in the surname;
- if it turns out that the payments were made with forged documents;
- if the buyer has been living abroad for a long time. The law says: “Unless otherwise provided by an international treaty of Ukraine, pension payments are terminated during the period of residence abroad of a pensioner whose consent to affiliation is provided by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine”;
- if the recipient of the payments does not receive the payments within 6 months;
- if a citizen is an immigrant and has changed his place of residence.
In addition, the Migration Administration records border crossings by the population, and this information is quickly sent to the Ministry of Finance and the PFU during verification.
Recall that from July 1, 2023, several categories of pensioners in Ukraine will receive increased payments, since several stages of indexation of these payments are planned.
The maximum pension in Ukraine today is 20,930 hryvnia, and the amount of payment depends on the length of service. The conditions for appointment and the duration of the specific period of service that entitles you to a pension depend on occupations and positions.
