Kolomoisky’s business partner embezzled 600 million hryvnia during the war, – SBU

The businessman himself has been abroad since 2018, they will put him on the international wanted list.

The Security Service and Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine are accused of embezzling 600 million hryvnia from Ukrtatnafta about Igor Kolomoisky’s business partner Mykhailo Kiperman. This was reported by the press service of the SBU.

It was reported that the investigation had information that exactly this amount was withdrawn from the accounts of the enterprise on February 24, 2022, when Moscow decided to start a full-scale war against Ukraine. The withdrawal attempt allegedly came from Mikhail Kiperman.

“The program was that PJSC Ukrtatnafta transferred about 600 million hryvnia to a controlled European company, which was intended to pay another supplier for 84,000 tons of crude oil previously leased. At the time of the fraud, this raw material was already in Odessa and for further processing at the Kremenchug Oil Refinery It had to be delivered.”

To implement the plan, a fake contract was created, in which other details of the buyer were specified. Based on the evidence gathered, the SBU reported suspicions under three articles of the Criminal Code to Kiperman, the actual owner of the company from which the money was drawn:

  • allocation of property (part 5 of article 191);
  • illegal acts with payment documents (part 3, part 1 of article 28). .200)
  • official forgery (part 3 of article 28, part 1 of article 366).

Who is Mikhail Kiperman?

Ukrainian businessman, oil tycoon, is on the supervisory board of Ukrnafta OJSC. His business is closely associated with Ukrainian billionaires Igor Kolomoisky and Gennady Bogolyubov.

He is also the co-owner of the “Bukovel” tourist complex in the Carpathians, and also holds shares in several large enterprises in the Dnieper and Dnipropetrovsk region. These companies produce construction materials.
