Bank of China (Russia) will not accept client payments from Russian banks to transfer funds in RMB to European, US, Swiss and UK banks. Acceptance of payments ceased on June 13. This was reported by some credit organizations.
“We hereby inform you that in connection with the receipt by the correspondent bank of Bank of China (Russia) of the corresponding instruction, from June 13, 2023, the acceptance for execution of client payments for the transfer of funds in Chinese yuan to EU banks, banks in Switzerland, banks in the UK and US banks, – said in a statement “Akibanka”.
The publication clarified that the Bank of China (Russia) will not transfer money to Chinese branches of intermediary banks and recipient banks. The exception is those organizations that are part of the beneficiary banks of the Bank of China group.
A similar message was issued by Unicredit Bank, Modulbank and Finam Bank. The latter announced that it had stopped accepting orders to transfer funds in yuan, dollars, euros and Hong Kong dollars through the Bank of China.
