Gas tariffs: what will change for Ukrainians in July

Despite the war and the unstable financial situation, Ukrainians still have to pay for housing and communal services. For example, you have to pay monthly for the use of gas. According to the Gazpravda publication, in July 2023, citizens of the country can use the services of 12 companies that have agreed to supply customers with “blue fuel” and have already published their tariffs.

Unlike electricity tariffs, gas price will remain the same in July. Depending on the company, blue fuel prices will fluctuate. From 7.70 UAH to 9.99 UAH per cubic meter.

Seven suppliers simultaneously ask for less than 8 UAH per cubic meter, five – more. What rates do companies offer?

So in July 2023, 12 companies will supply gas to the public. Rates are a little different for everyone. For example:

  • LLC “Ternopolgaz Sales” – 7.96 UAH;

  • OOO “Poltavagaz Sales” – UAH 7.99;
  • LLC “Galneftegaz” PE “OKKO CONTRACT” – UAH 7.99;
  • LLC “Lvovenergosbyt” – UAH 8.20;
  • Kyiv Energy Services LLC (YASNO) – 8.46 UAH;
  • Dnipro Energy Services LLC (YASNO) – UAH 8.46;
  • Ascania Energy LLC – 9.95 UAH;
  • TM “Svetgaz” (LLC “Retail Service”) – 9.99 UAH.

Do Ukrainians pay for a communal flat during the war?

Ukrainians’ debts to utilities already amount to about 140 billion hryvnia. According to Oleg Popenko, co-founder of the Union of Utilities Consumers, Ukrainians also accumulated debt in the pre-war years, but in the summer most citizens repaid their debts. But in 2023, against the backdrop of rising electricity costs, there will be even more debt as the population does not have enough money. \

“Whoever can, of course will pay. But there will be a drop in the ocean. There will be a large army of non-payers. It will grow again in the future, this process will intensify, especially during the heating season,” he predicted.

By the way, in May 2023, Yasno CEO Serhiy Kovalenko said that as of May 1, Ukrainians owe electricity more than 1.7 billion hryvnia. He promised that now information on debts of a communal apartment will be displayed in the credit history of citizens.
