The main reason for the lack of additional payments is a pension of more than 10,340 UAH. In this case, the “age” allowance is not paid.
Last year, a program of supplementary payments to pensions for the elderly is carried out, in which pensioners who have reached the age of 70 are entitled to an additional 300 hryvnia per month. However, not everyone this age is eligible for this additional financial support. This was reported in the publication “In Retirement”.
Experts note that the main reason for the absence of additional payments is the receipt of a pension in the amount of more than 10,340 hryvnia. In this case, there is also no “age” allowance, including an additional payment of 400 hryvnia for persons over 75 and an additional payment of 500 hryvnia for persons over 80.
In addition, due to the established procedure for payment of pensions, which is carried out from the 4th to the 25th of each month, and the payment of payments is made at the end of the previous month, some “new” 70-year-old pensioners may be left without an additional 300 hryvnia, since they do not have time to enter this cycle of payments and payments .
For example, if a retiree turns 70 on September 22, he will not receive a full supplement for September. But from October, he will be paid an additional 300 hryvnia according to the schedule.
“If such a person’s pension is less than 10,340 UAH, and he is 70 years old, then he will certainly receive an allowance in the amount of 300 hryvnia. This additional payment is paid in the first month after reaching the 70th birthday from the date the person celebrates his birthday,” explained the experts.
We remind you that the indexation of payments for some categories of pensioners was carried out only in July 2023, but some citizens did not receive any additional money at all.
The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution in August establishing additional one-time social payments ranging from UAH 450 to UAH 3,100.
