Businessman Volodymyr Popereshnyuk believes that Ukrainians “have already tasted freedom”, so the Soviet economy will not take root in the country.
Volodymyr Popereshnyuk, co-founder of Novaya Poshta, said that the Ukrainian authorities built the Ukrainian SSR of the 1930s. He said this at the “Future Economy: Challenges, Threats, Opportunities” discussion panel at iForum-2023.
“The authorities are building us the Ukrainian SSR of the 1930s. Popereshnyuk emphasized that the Soviet economy does not work in Ukraine.
“I must say that the Soviet economy does not work. No matter how they build it, no matter how they plan, entrepreneurs still work,” he explained, adding that nothing will come of it, “because the Ukrainians have already tasted freedom.”
