Some retirees may have an increase in their pensions: amount announced

Ukrainians can receive additional payments at the ages of 70, 75 and 80. Pensioners whose payments exceed UAH 10,340.35 cannot count on the increase.

Some retirees may have an age-related increase in their pension. This was reported by the publication “On Retirement”.

They stated that senior citizens over 75 years of age can receive an additional payment of 456 hryvnia. Ukrainians whose pension exceeds UAH 10,340.35 cannot count on payment.

Additionally, the amount of the supplement may be less than 456 hryvnia. Since pensioners aged 70 to 75 are entitled to receive additional payments in the amount of 300 hryvnia. So if an elderly person receives this money, when he turns 75 he will receive the difference between 300 and 456 hryvnia – that is, the size of the pension will increase by only 156 hryvnia.

In addition, as of April 1, 2020, an age discount has been created in Ukraine for retirees over 80 years old. They receive an additional 570 hryvnia.

Officials added that pension contributions for Ukrainians aged 70 to 75 begin to accrue from October 1, 2022, and for retirees over 75 from October 2021.

Let us remind you that the Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovych said that the amount of the future pension can be found online on the web portal of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. To do this, you will need to use a retirement calculator. You can also increase the size of your pension by making additional insurance contributions through a retirement account.

Participants in conflicts are entitled to receive an additional payment to their pension in the amount of 25% of the subsistence minimum, that is, 523.25 hryvnia. The total pension amount of people with UBI status cannot be less than 210% of the subsistence level (4395.30 hryvnia).
