Russia’s GDP growth by the end of 2023 will be 2.8-3%, while an economic recession is expected in Europe, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday, November 3.

“This year our GDP growth will be 2.8%, or even 3%, while in the leading economies of Europe it will be minus, small, but minus.”said the head of state during a meeting with the new composition of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.

Putin noted that Europeans are suffering and have various problems. At the same time, Moscow is not happy about this, but is stating the fact itself, the president concluded.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin, during a meeting on economic issues, said that the incomes of Russian citizens are growing at a rate faster than the inflation rate. According to him, over the eight months of this year, wages increased by 7.5%, and wage growth occurs against the backdrop of persistently low unemployment.
