Ukrainian pensioners will be paid up to 1000 hryvnia: who can receive an increase

Now the payment amount is 837 hryvnia, but after the New Year the amount should increase.

Ukrainian retirees will be able to receive additional payments of almost 1,000 hryvnia in 2024. This possibility was revealed by Cabinet Decision No. 261, which was reviewed by journalists of the newspaper “About Pensioners”.

Pensions in Ukraine – who can receive an increase

Pensioners:

  • over 80 years old;
  • living independently;
  • needing constant care for health reasons;
  • receive an old age pension.

Ukrainians receiving disability pension cannot apply for an increase. Doctors must verify that the retiree’s health condition requires care.

Pension in Ukraine – what is the amount of additional payments?

Bonus is paid monthlyand 40% of the subsistence minimum for people who have lost the ability to work.

Now this minimum is 2093 hryvnia, but after January 1 it is expected to increase to 2361 hryvnia. So instead 837 hryvnia retirees will be able to 944 hryvnia.

Pensions in Ukraine – how to get an increase

To apply for this additional payment, the retiree must provide:

  • conclusion of a medical commission confirming the need for permanent outside care;
  • passport;
  • an identification number;
  • A quote from the Pension Fund confirming that you do not receive retirement benefits.

Let us also remind you that payments will increase due to the planned increase in the cost of living in Ukraine. In particular, the minimum pension will be 2,361 hryvnia instead of 2,093 hryvnia.

Ukrainian retirees can apply for child allowance and length of service. Additionally, Ukrainians can receive additional payments depending on their age.
