Ukrainian pensioners will receive bonuses from the UN: who can count on this?

Previously, retirees who lived in a war zone and had a pension of up to 3 thousand people received additional payments. Another category of Ukrainians will now receive additional funding from the UN.

Ukrainians can receive financial assistance from the UN. Channel 24 journalists have now found out who can claim payments.

The Ministry of Social Policy, together with the UN, continues to provide assistance to Ukrainians who suffered the most from the war. 278 thousand retirees have already received the relevant bonus; A total of 609 million hryvnia was paid.

Previously, additional payments were provided to people living in the war zone and whose pension was below 3 thousand hryvnias. Funds were added automatically, and the size of the premium depended on the difference between the payment amount and the established “minimum”.

Who can get help from the UN anymore?

Now there are 350 thousand Ukrainians disabled people.

In addition to this status, a citizen also has:

  • living on the front line or in an area where there are active hostilities;
  • You do not have IDP status;
  • Receive monthly payments of up to 3,250 hryvnia;
  • they do not receive any other international financial assistance.

What is a disability pension in Ukraine?

Pension payments for disabled people are affected by: age payments.

The ratio of the old-age pension amount to the disabled group until the end of this year remains as follows:

  • 100% – Group I;
  • 90% – group II;
  • 50% – Group III.

The government also set the minimum amounts not paid to Ukrainians:

  • for persons with group I disabilities – 2,300 hryvnia;
  • for disabled persons of groups II and III who are not working – 2,100 hryvnia;
  • For disabled persons working in groups II and III – 2,093 hryvnia.

It was pointed out in the media that the disabled group was determined by a special commission. Payments will also be adjusted if changes are recorded during lookback.

Let us remind you that a survey among Ukrainians showed that almost 39% have enough money only for necessary things and food. 9.8% of respondents admitted that they could not even buy food.

The Ministry of Economy warned that if Western aid is stopped, pensions and salary payments may also be stopped.
