After the heating season: For which utilities will Ukrainians have to pay more?

Although Ukraine maintains a moratorium on increasing tariffs for some public services, authorities may take the unwelcome step of changing tariffs for at least one of the services in late spring.

The war has reduced Ukrainians’ real incomes, but service providers need money to repair systems and pay factory wages. That is why in Ukraine, despite a large-scale war, rumors appear from time to time that tariffs for utilities will be increased. But as First Deputy Chairman of the Energy Committee of the Verkhovna Rada Aleksey Kucherenko said on Hromadske Radio, the authorities will no longer change tariffs for housing and communal services.
