The Kharkov metro has resumed operation after a three-day shutdown, operating only in shelter mode. Oleg Sinegubov, head of the Regional State Administration, said there was a schedule of hourly power outages for communities in Kharkov and the region.
In Kharkov, the metro became operational on March 22, after the major offensive of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Train intervals are 20 minutes. Kharkov mayor Igor Terekhov announced this in Telegram on Monday, March 25.
“Our energy engineers have done something that seems incredible and now we have the opportunity to start the metro. The metro works on all lines, the interval is 20 minutes. Thanks to everyone involved, both energy engineers and transportation workers, for this excellent work.” !” Terekhov wrote.
Currently, 200 thousand Kharkov residents live without electricity in the city. The head of the Kharkov Regional State Administration, Oleg Sinegubov, assured that energy workers will continue to work around the clock to eliminate the consequences of the shelling.
