Rock band “Aria” will arrange a grand concert in Moscow

In Moscow, the ice will be melted with hard rock. The famous group “Aria” is preparing for a grand concert in the center of the capital. Even after almost forty years, the legends of Soviet and Russian heavy metal will surprise fans not only with powerful vocals and virtuoso guitar riffs. They prepared a bright show with costumes and special effects. Correspondent followed the preparation “Izvestia” Kirill Olkov.

Easily recognizable guitar riffs, giant screens, flickering lights and unrivaled vocals. The legendary “Aria” is on stage.

Each chord of a live sound is like a pulsating nerve, sometimes heavy as metal, but always melodic. The musicians are ready to rock not only the hall, but the whole world. When the night is shorter than the day, they playfully tame the elements.

37 years on the “heavy stage”, and each rock concert is like a separately experienced musical life.

“Probably not every family can boast that it has existed for 37 years, what can we say about five adult men,” – says the soloist of the group “Aria” Mikhail Zhitnyakov.

Recording interviews with musicians is always a problem, their fans are everywhere, and it is for them that the band is preparing a grand New Year’s Eve show. A live concert with the old famous ballads of the group and new non-classical for “Aria” covers. Rehearsals go on every day.

“We have a complete consensus in terms of the film library. Gaidai’s comedies are all. We also love Gaidai’s work. We also love the music that sounds there”– says Zhitnyakov.

Together with the group, their talisman, Zhorik, will also perform on stage. It’s already a tradition.

Zhorik, aka Stanislav Belykh, picked up the guitar just four years ago, and now he is a full-fledged member of the band.

“After I saw this crowd of people who were squealing from guitar riffs, I got goosebumps”– says musician Stanislav Belykh.

“This is with Mikhail Zhitnikov from the filming of the clip “Kill the Dragon”, – says a fan of the group “Aria” Mariam.

Mariam is an experienced fan of the group. In her personal collection there are photographs with all the soloists of “Aria”, whose work she knows by heart. “Careless Angel”, “Calm”, “Hero of Asphalt” – she says, each composition has its own mood, which is transmitted to the listener.

For the most devoted fans, the entire anthology of the group was re-released on vinyl records – this is a modern prototype of the legendary album “Hero of Asphalt”, recorded in 87. It was a resounding success, and its sales, according to some sources, exceeded one million copies.

“You’ve been playing this song for 30 years, but you relive it every time you step on stage”– says Vladimir Kholstinin, a member of the Aria group.

Irina was recorded as the most devoted fans of the group by her ten-year-old son.

“We were sitting high on the balcony, I looked at the people who were there, closer to the stage, breaking away, and I told my son that we would sit there, in the front row,” says Irina Romanenko.

Rock calm in the family was replaced by a storm.

“These are awesome musicians. Thanks to this group, a lot of young guys picked up the guitar, sat down on the drums. This group influenced a huge number of young people in more than one generation”– says Garik Sukachev.
