Veterinarians sharply criticized Hollywood star Claudia Schiffer, who brought her pet cat Chip in a carrier to the film premiere of the film “Argyle,” reports the British newspaper Daily Mail.

Experts believe that the film star, who posed with her pet, could have exposed him to stress.

Head of clinical services at Cats Protection Alison Richards said cats love freedom of movement – so being taken into an “unfamiliar environment” in a confined space brings them fear and anxiety.

“Cats are sentient animals and should not be used as fashion accessories.”Richards added.

Experts believe that the design of the backpack does not provide enough space for the animal, and there may also be problems with ventilation inside. And because of the built-in “window,” the cat has no way to hide from others, which is why the pet feels unprotected. The position of our colleagues is shared by specialists from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. A representative of the organization explained that it is not recommended to use backpacks for transporting cats.
