We are told from childhood that some foods are best not to eat with each other, such as cucumbers and milk. However, there are more harmful food combinations. “Reedus” gave a list of “gourmet joys” that can lead to problems with the gastrointestinal tract. Moreover, many of these combinations turned out to be almost traditional.
So, it is recommended not to use together:
- burger with french fries (too many calories, fats, and also such a dish can cause severe heaviness in the stomach and drowsiness);
- cereal – with fruit juice (can lead to heaviness in the stomach, a sharp jump in blood sugar, a quick return of hunger, a feeling of fatigue. In addition, there may be digestive problems, since the acids in fruit juices reduce the activity of the enzyme that breaks down carbohydrates);
- meat – with potatoes (not easily digested individually, but together even more difficult; abdominal pain and flatulence may occur);
- rice, pasta or potatoes – with tomatoes (Foods containing starch do not go well with tomatoes. Tomatoes contain acids that impair the digestibility of starch, which is fraught with indigestion, pain, loss of strength);
- kiwi – with yogurt (kiwi contains an enzyme that quickly breaks down milk protein. This makes yogurt bitter).
Earlier it was also reported that the nutritionist dispelled the myth about the benefits of vegetable salads.
