The nutritionist called the most useful types of jam

Anton Brykin, a sports nutritionist and nutritionist at the Gemotest laboratory, said that five-minute jam and berries simply rubbed with sugar are much healthier than traditional jam.

It’s all about the mold that forms on the surface of the jam. Therefore, according to a specialist, jam containing seeds can be stored for no more than a year.

“Mold spores formed on the surface of the jam penetrate deep and secrete microtoxins. Once in the body, they can accumulate and cause allergic reactions, severe poisoning,” Brykin said in an interview with RT.

In addition, much more sugar is put in traditional jam. For one kilogram, for example, apples put one kilogram of sugar, and this is a lot. The nutritionist recalled that the daily norm of sugar for adults is no more than 100 grams, and for children from three years old – 40 grams.

According to the expert, the best substitute for jam is fruits or berries mashed with sugar.
