The Russian Ministry of Health has registered the drug against coronavirus “Mir-19”

The Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) of Russia received a permanent registration certificate for the anti-coronavirus drug Mir-19. About it told in the FMBA press service.

“Preclinical and clinical studies of the drug have demonstrated its high effectiveness and safety,” – stated the press service.

They said that at the end of 2023 the third phase of clinical trials of Mir-19 was completed. After these tests, the Russian Ministry of Health issued a permanent registration certificate for the drug.

“The drug selectively suppresses the activity of vital genes of the virus without affecting the human genome,” – explained the press service.

The press service also explained that the drug is administered by inhalation using medical nebulizers.

In January 2022, it was reported that the FMBA submitted an application to study the drug Mir-19 for use in outpatient treatment.
