The President believes that peace will be restored in Ukraine when Crimea becomes Ukraine again. The head of state also promised to return the state flag to all corners of our country.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky published an article on February 26 to mark the ninth anniversary of the day of resistance against the Russian occupation of Crimea. The head of state said that when the Crimea returns to its composition, peace will be achieved in Ukraine.

“Nine years ago, Russian aggression began in Crimea. We will restore peace by taking back Crimea,” Zelensky wrote.

The guarantor promised to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine and to plant the Ukrainian flag in every corner of our country.

“This is our land. Our people. Our history. We will bring the Ukrainian flag back to every corner of Ukraine,” said the President.

Crimean Day of Resistance

Recall that on February 26, Ukraine celebrated the day of the Crimean resistance against the Russian occupation of Crimea. On this day in 2014, a rally was held under the walls of the Crimean Parliament, attended by thousands of Ukrainian citizens, to protect the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Pro-Ukrainian forces gathered near the Crimean parliament and eventually managed to postpone the meeting of deputies, at which the issue of the political future of the peninsula was planned to be discussed.

On the same day, pro-Russian forces led by Sergei Aksyonov also appeared near parliament. Clashes broke out among the participants of the rallies, in which about 30 people were injured, with the complete elimination of the security forces. Two more died, a man suffered a heart attack, and another woman was trampled on by a crowd of protesters.
