Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Presidential Office, emphasized that waiting for the partners to decide on the supply of weapons cost the lives of Ukrainians. The Office of the President of Ukraine evaluated the Russian statements regarding the alleged counter-offensive launched by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is known from an interview with the adviser of the head of the OP, Mikhail Podolyak, which was broadcast on June 8 by Channel 24.
“These are defensive-offensive actions that include elements of testing Russia’s defense lines with increased bombardment intensity of the rear transport and logistics infrastructure of the Russian Federation,” the official said.
He urged to perceive with “sarcastic irony” the messages in the enemy media and the statements of the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country. According to Podolyak, the Russians are scaring themselves by creating a “panic” information field in their country. He’s sure it’s pointless to get into an argument with them.
The official assured that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are in control of the situation.
“And it will look quite impressive and even effective. And I think you and I will be quite pleased with the progress of our men. The only thing to remember is that this is still a war. It’s not about some kind of war. This is a war, this is a tragedy,” he stressed.
Podolyak admitted that he was only annoyed by the fact that the partners did not understand the price of the long discussions on the supply of weapons. According to him, a certain number of soldiers die while Ukraine is proving to foreigners that it needs some form of protection.
“We are not talking about the Russians, there are no beautiful and brave ones. Look what heroes they did in this war. This is completely barbaric to me. So they take someone who served or served from the region. 19 years after killing his family. Then he comes here, kills civilians again, dies here, they kill him, they bring his family to the place where he killed them and they say he’s a hero”.
