Zelensky noted that the Wagner PMC was used to attack prisoners in Russian prisons. If they refused to continue the offensive, they were shot by their own commanders. The prisoners had no other choice. This is precisely the achievement of the “Wagnerians” that can be observed in eastern Ukraine.

“They killed most of their comrades,” said Zelensky.

He also said that regular Russian troops lack motivation and are much weaker than the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“There were two categories of Wagnerites: professional mercenaries and those mobilized from prisons, cannon fodder. In total, our troops killed 21,000 people and injured 80,000. These are massive casualties, but this gives an idea of ​​how. Many such groups are in eastern Ukraine. ” said.

According to Zelensky, the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to destroy the most motivated part of the Russian forces. Ukrainians protect their homes, their children. This is their motivation. The liquidation of the mercenaries is also part of the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Zelensky also said that now the Ukrainian side knows that the “Wagnerites” will be on the territory of Belarus.

““We will soon find out if they want to form an offensive fist or subversive groups to operate with these criminals on the Polish borders,” he said.
