If we run out of weapons, we will fight with shovels – Kuleba

According to the relevant minister, precious time is running out and the provision of military aid to Ukraine will allow NATO to enter into a direct conflict with Russia.

If the Ukrainians run out of weapons, they will fight with shovels. Time is running out for the US Congress to pass an agreement on aid financing for Ukraine. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba stated this in an interview with ABC News.

According to him, aid to Ukraine could help NATO avoid a direct military conflict with Russia.

“Even if we run out of weapons, we will fight with shovels because the existence of this nation is in danger for Ukraine,” the minister said.

He said Ukraine would not negotiate with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s regime until it was in a much more advantageous position on the battlefield. At the same time, Russian troops have learned the lessons of war and are therefore much better suited to combat operations. However, the minister announced that the Russian Federation will suffer further defeats in 2024.

Kuleba said Russia has made small gains near Avdievka in recent weeks. However, these are given to their owners at very high prices. He disagrees that Russia no longer has an advantage on the battlefield.

According to the minister, Ukraine is trying to show that Russia’s invasion harms Russians. Putin must explain to his people why all this is really happening.

“I think it is useful at times to make them (people living in Russia) realize that the reality outside their television is different and may be much, much worse than their propaganda,” he said.

Kuleba had previously stated that Ukraine has increased its UAV production and is trying to expand further. During his visit to Estonia, Kuleba discussed a number of issues with the countries’ Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkn.
