According to Mikhail Podolyak, advisor to the head of the OP, Russia is striving for a long conflict and wants the emergence of “fatigue” in the West.
Two years after the start of the occupation, Ukraine’s Western partners are still trying to move in both directions, despite Moscow’s apparent preparations for a long-term conflict of military attrition. According to Politico, this opinion was expressed by Mikhail Podolyak, Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine.
According to him, Kiev’s allies should provide all possible support in the war, but at the same time they want to protect their own markets by using a protectionist path. At the same time, the government official claims that European countries did not abandon trade with Russia, despite the prolongation of the war.
“All this seems strange to me. On the one hand, you fund the defense of Ukraine, which is defending itself against attacks by the Russian Federation. But your companies also fund the Russian federal budget. 42 percent of it goes directly to the war. So it is there at the same time Besides, you are here,” said Podolyak.

Moreover, the adviser to the head of the Presidential Office added that Russia needs a long war, “fatigue” from the war and a call to find compromise solutions. However, the official believes that there is no compromise solution to this war.
Separately, Podolyak said he was disappointed that the West was unable to make quick decisions on the supply of artillery shells to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. At the same time, Podolyak expects that, despite all the active discussions in the United States, the allies will still accept a new aid package, since “investments in Ukraine are investments in America’s reputation and US dominance in the world.”
On March 1, Podolyak commented in his Telegram about the possibility of reaching an agreement with the Kremlin in the spring of 2022.
Also on December 8, Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office Mikhail Podolyak explained why men should calmly accept the distribution of subpoenas in gyms.
