According to People’s Deputy Alexei Goncharenko, the former NSDC secretary will become the ambassador of Moldova, but the parliamentarian had previously announced that Danilov would be sent to Norway.
Alexei Danilov, former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, will be appointed as the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Moldova. This was announced on March 29 on the Telegram channel by the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Alexey Goncharenko from the European Solidarity faction.
Goncharenko also did not specify how he knew about presidential appointments. At the same time, he had previously stated that Danilov would become ambassador to Norway.
We would like to point out that, by decision No. 192/2024 of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, Marco Shevchenko was dismissed from his post as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Moldova.
At the same time, at the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council on March 29, President Zelensky said that Danilov will continue to work in the interests of Ukraine, but only in the diplomatic field. However, he did not specify which specific position the former NSDC secretary would occupy.
Let us recall that on March 26, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed decrees requiring the removal of Alexey Danilov from the post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and Alexander Litvinenko from the post of head of the Foreign Intelligence Service. Oleg Ivashchenko became the new head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, and Litvinenko replaced Danilov.
