UEFA held a draw and determined the pairings of the 1/8 finals of the Champions League.
In the playoffs of the championship will meet: “Leipzig” and “Manchester City”, “Bruges and Benfica”, “Liverpool” and “Real Madrid”, “Milan” and “Tottenham”, “Frankfurt” and “Naples”, “Dortmund” and Chelsea, Inter and Porto, PSG and Bayern.
The draw was held at the headquarters of the Union in Nyon, Switzerland. The first playoff matches will be held on 14, 15, 21 and 22 February.
Recall that Russian clubs do not take part in international competitions on an unsportsmanlike basis. On February 28, the International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) suspended Russian teams and clubs from all international tournaments. In May, UEFA suspended all Russian clubs and national teams for the 2022/23 season. Clubs are not allowed to European competitions, and the Russian team will not participate in the League of Nations. The Russian national team will not participate in the draw for the qualifying stage of Euro 2024. Moscow “Spartak” lost the opportunity to play in the 1/8 finals of the Europa League.
