Fedor Emelianenko spoke about his plans after the end of his career

Russian mixed martial arts fighter (MMA) Fedor Emelianenko is going to coach after the end of his sports career. The athlete spoke about this in an interview with TASS.

On the night of February 5, Emelianenko will have his last fight. In the ring, he will meet again with the American Ryan Bader. The rematch will take place as part of the Bellator 290 tournament in Los Angeles.

46-year-old Emelianenko noted that he would continue training after the end of his career.

“I need to help the guys, show them myself, I want to be an active and working coach. Not just walking with a stopwatch from one to another, but I myself can show something, tell, make me feel”, – explained the multiple world champion in MMA according to Pride and Rings.

He added that a lot of work awaits him in the MMA Union of Russia.

On account of Emelianenko 40 victories and six defeats, one more fight was declared invalid. The fighter held his last fight in October 2021, defeating American Timothy Johnson by knockout in the first round.

Emelianenko is also a former champion of the Pride, Rings and WAMMA organizations, a four-time world champion and a nine-time Russian champion in combat sambo. Now he holds the post of President of the MMA Union of Russia.
