Venezuela and the United States have announced their pitchers for the quarterfinals of the World Baseball Classic.

Venezuela vs. USA is the final game of the World Baseball Classic quarterfinals. The winner of this key will face Cuba in the semi-finals, which will be held at Loan Depot Park in Miami.

Martin Perez, left-hander of the Texas Rangers, will play for the Venezuelan team. who also played against the Dominican Republic in Venezuela’s debut in the tournament.

Pérez went 3.1 innings, striking out 4 batters, passing 2, and allowing only one run.. The 31-year-old left-hander played against much of the American roster during the Major League Baseball regular season.

Mike Trout is one of the players who faced Pérez the most, landing 10 hits in 36 at-bats. Venezuela is the only team, along with Japan, not to lose in the tournament.

From my side, Lance Lynn will be the US starter against Venezuela. Lynn faced Canada in the third game of the first round for Team USA.

Lynn had 5 innings in which he hit 6 batters, walked one and allowed only one hit, which was a home run. Part of the Venezuelan offense tied up 7 home runs with Lynn in the Major Leagues.

Catcher Salvador Perez and José Altuve hit the American pitcher twice in their careers. Over 35,000 people are expected to be at Loan Depot Park in Miami this Saturday.

In this round, starters are allowed up to 80 steps, and after the first round only 65 steps are allowed.

The United States is aiming to reach the semi-finals for the second time in a row. while Venezuela will do so for the first time since 2009 when they switched to South Korea.

Cuba is waiting for the winner of this bracket for the game, which will be held on Sunday in Miami. Only one semi-finalist left after another key is determined between Mexico and Japan on Monday, March 20.
