As a reminder, since March 3, a digital fan card is required to enter all matches of the Russian Premier League. Everyone who will be at the stadium on the day of the match needs it, even children.
The cards have been successfully used in many competitions, including the World Cup. In 2017, at the Confederations Cup and the 2018 World Cup, they were called “Fan ID”, or Fan ID. When creating a permanent analogue, the same principles were used, so the new digital document received a name.
When it became known about the introduction of Fan ID at RPL matches, the fan movement was divided. Many took the idea hostilely and declared a boycott. The number of fans in the stands has been reduced to 500 at some matches.
Even State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov and Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev asked to cancel Fan ID.
