Czech striker Dmitry Yashkin left the St. Petersburg club of the Continental Hockey League SKA, said the team’s head coach Roman Rotenberg.
“Hockey is life, and in life sometimes you have to part even with friends. Next season SKA will play without Dmitry Yashkin”he wrote in the Telegram channel.
Rotenberg added that Yashkin wrote his name in the history of the club and expressed gratitude to the former player on behalf of the entire team.
Commenting on the reasons, Rotenberg explained that the HC offered the athlete good conditions for renewing the contract, but, due to various circumstances, SKA could not satisfy all the needs of Yashkin.
Rotenberg also announced the departure of forward Damir Zhafyarov from the team.
Recall that in April, SKA left the Olympic champion Nikita Gusev. He is considered the top scorer in the history of the club.
