Honduras, having just suffered a 4-0 defeat on their debut against Mexico, failed to qualify today and barely managed to save a 1-1 draw against his Qatari counterpart in the second appearance in the Gold Cup. The game was played at the University of Phoenix Stadium with a goal from 20-year-old Tamim Al-Abdullah and Albert Ellis in the 96th minute.
Honduras began to look for an early goal against the Qatari team who had just lost at the last moment to Haiti 2–1, however it was the Arabs who were present just after the first seven minutes of the game.
Tamim Al-Abdullah headed Qatar ahead before the first 10 minutes of play. and thus those who were placed by Carlos Queiroz demonstrated that they did not come to the Golden Cup for a walk.
In the second half, Honduras was going to look for him and could not find him, the catracho attack continues to experience a crisis and this is reflected in two Gold Cup games in which he not only scored no points, but also failed to score goals.
Just before the 96th minute, catrachos received the award for tenacity, albeit with a chaotic attack, soccer player Albert Ellis recorded a one-goal tie for the Honduran team, which continues to show a lack of ideas.
As such, the Honduras national team led by Diego Vazquez will be looking to do their best against Haiti and qualify after two games without being able to add three in the Gold Cup. For their part, the Qatar national team will be aiming for a miracle against the Mexico national team. which today will try to consolidate its pass against Haiti.
