According to him, Ukraine’s attitude to next year’s Olympics has not changed, and in the future nothing will change for sure. The Russian Federation will not take part in this sporting event.
“There is a step from sports as usual to business as usual. This means a bloody political manifesto – support for Russian aggression, terrorism and genocide on the global stage. Sport is not outside politics, sport is politics,” the message said.
Separately, Mikhail Podolyak noted that Russian sport today is openly promoting massacres, violence, torture and destruction, and the world has a chance to change this for sure.
“It’s time to stop hypocrisy – it’s time to stop the expansion of Russian sports supporters of the war,” summed up Mikhail Podolyak.
Recall, on July 26 it was reported that the Russian Federation and Belarus were not invited to the 2024 Olympic Games. The Olympic Games invitation was sent to 203 countries. Traditionally, they are sent one year before the start of the competition.
