Olympic champion in team figure skating competitions Kamila Valieva starred in the comedy series “Catastrophe.”
As reported on her fan account on the Telegram channel, the athlete can be seen in the fifth episode of the first season.
Famous actors took part in the series: Mikhail Trukhin, Nadezhda Sysoeva, Pavel Derevyanko, Svetlana Kamynina, Anna Banshchikova and many others.
Valieva’s fans said that they were very proud of the skater’s new successes.
Let us remember that Valieva previously won the final stage of the Russian Grand Prix series, which took place in Moscow. After an unsuccessful performance at the stage in Kazan, the athlete managed to rehabilitate herself. Valieva took the lead in the short program, and two falls in the free skate did not affect the final place. The second was figure skater Veronika Yametova, who trains in Yekaterinburg. Third place went to Evgeni Plushenko’s student Sofya Muravyova, who had previously won the previous stage. This time the athlete tried to perform an ultra-si element – an axel jump of 3.5 revolutions, but she did not submit to it in either the short or free program. Due to two attempts at a difficult element in the free program, the skater lost her way and incorrectly counted the number of possible repetitions of the jumps. As a result, the judges did not count the last triple Lutz, which the athlete performed cleanly.
A similar situation happened with Valieva at the last stage of the Grand Prix. The athlete performed two sequences instead of one, as the rules allow. As a result of this, only the first of the second combination of jumps counted, and the skater lost about 10 points despite the fact that she performed the element cleanly.
