Alexander Tochilin was fired from the post of Sochi head coach. A message about this appeared in the official Telegram channel of the football club on Sunday, December 3.

“By decision of the club’s management, the 49-year-old specialist has been suspended from working with the team,” – the message says.

Instead of the dismissed Tochilin, Denis Klyuev will act as team coach.

On Saturday, Sochi suffered a home defeat from Krylya Sovetov Samara (0:2). It was the team’s 13th in 17 matches of the Russian Premier League this season. The club with 10 points is in last, 16th place in the standings.

Earlier it became known that the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) did not include the Russian team in the draw for the 2024/25 Nations League. The draw for the tournament will take place in Paris on February 8. 54 teams will participate in it. All teams are divided into leagues A, B, C and D.
