Boxer Tishchenko won the WBA world title

Olympic champion Russian Evgeniy Tishchenko won the World Boxing Association (WBA) world title in the weight category up to 101.6 kilograms.

The fight took place at the IBA Champions Night tournament in Dubai.

Tishchenko knocked out German Leon Hart in the sixth round.

Now Tishchenko has 13 victories (including eight by knockout) and one defeat.

Evgeniy Tishchenko is the holder of the WBC international champion belt, the World Boxing Organization (WBO) intercontinental champion and the WBO European champion.

At the amateur level, he became the Olympic champion in boxing in the weight category up to 91 kilograms in 2016. In addition, he has the titles of world champion in 2015, two-time European champion in 2015 and 2017, as well as a victory at the 2013 Universiade.
