Russian boxer Edgar Ghukasyan spoke about his plan for a fight against American Gemini Ramirez at a super series tournament “Fight Club “which will take place on December 15 in Chelyabinsk.

“I always prepare for a full-fledged fight. If there is an opportunity to hit, I will hit, I will hit. And so, my coach and I have done a lot of work.”,” Ghukasyan explained.

He noted that the day before he had productive sparring sessions with left-handed boxers.

In two more fights of the tournament, boxers from Russia and the USA will also compete against each other. Russian Edgar Ghukasyan’s opponent will be American Gemini Ramirez, and Igor Sviridchenkov will enter the ring against Peter Dobson.

The fights will last four rounds of three minutes.

The tournament will take place at the Chelyabinsk Sports Palace “Yunost”, its start is scheduled for 21:00 Moscow time (23:00 Chelyabinsk time). Live broadcast of fights will begin at 22:00 Moscow time (00:00 Chelyabinsk time).

Maxim Babanin is a Russian professional boxer, international master of sports of Russia, former member of the Russian boxing team. During his amateur career, Babanin became the champion of Russia in 2015, bronze medalist of the European Championship in 2017 and bronze medalist of the World Championship in 2019. He is also known for defeating famous champions such as Briton Tyson Fury in the amateurs; Maxim Babanin defeated him in the final of the European Junior Championships in 2007. After turning professional, he fought six fights, winning six times, including four by knockout.

Babanin had his last fight on August 17 in Yekaterinburg against Ukrainian German Skobenko, whom he defeated on points by unanimous decision. The last match within “Fight Club “ The Russian spent April 29 last year in Krasnogorsk against experienced compatriot Evgeny Orlov, nicknamed Molecule of Hell, whom he defeated by technical knockout in the third round.

Kevin Johnson is an American professional boxer. During his professional career, he fought 60 fights, in which he won 36 times (20 times by knockout), suffered 22 defeats and drew two more fights. In his last fight within “Fight Club ” August 19 Johnson conceded 24-year-old Russian Mark Petrovsky by decision. In that fight, the American entered the ring with a license from the Russian Boxing Federation.
