The Russian national team has a new uniform with the image of a firebird. Its presentation took place on March 10 at the exhibition-forum “Russia” at VDNKh in Moscow. This was reported by the Russian Football Union (RFU).
It should be noted that the presentation was attended by legends of domestic football, players of the Youth Football League and Russian schoolchildren, participants in the “Football at School” project.
The uniform will go on sale from March 12, and you can see it on the players of the Russian national team on March 21 and 25 at the Dynamo stadium in matches with the national teams of Serbia and Paraguay.
As clarified on the RFU website, the design of the new home uniform in red colors was inspired by fairy tales, a vibrant genre of Russian folklore, and the away uniform in light colors was inspired by the elements of cold. This is also an important element of Russian culture, embodied in fairy tales in the image of the mythical Frost.
“This is a very important event. The project was important and complex, because we had to develop a new uniform that, in its characteristics, would correspond to the status of the first team in the country“, shared the President of the Russian Football Union Alexander Dyukov.
He noted that the uniform is not just a regular game jersey. According to Dyukov, it also has a symbolic meaning. Especially for the younger generation of football players who dream of one day wearing the legendary T-shirt of the Russian national football team. The RFU President also emphasized that the new form is entirely domestic production.
“So far everything is convenient, comfortable, stretches well, you should try to play“, Russian football player Yana Sheina shared her impressions.
Football player Fedor Kudryashov pointed out the main thing: the uniform was specially made to order for the Russian national team, and not according to a template, as before.
“I liked the feel and how it stretches. Everything else can be understood after playing. We need to see how it absorbs moisture“, concluded Kudryashov.
Earlier it became known that the expanded composition of the Russian national football team for the upcoming friendly matches included 38 athletes. The final composition of the national team will be announced after the 20th round of the Russian Premier League.
